Previously homeless, released from an insane asylum that closed down, Elric has taken up residence on the front steps of Maxlore Industries.

Personal history: Since Elric himself doesn’t remember it, his background is a mystery.
He displays a knowlege of metallurgy, making little medallions and trinkets with surprising skill for someone most people believe to be completely crazed. He occasionally shows signs of advanced education, mangling bits of poetry and literature one wouldn’t expect him to have heard of.

Business background: See above.

Personal description: Unkempt, unwashed, Elric reeks of urine and wet wool and bad breath and garbage. He wears a graying robe (at one time probably purple) with stars, comets, constellations adorning it. Basically harmless, Elric believes he can cast spells and do other mystical things He usually speaks in rhyme, often doggerel. He almost always refers to himself in the third person: “Elric smells something rotten in Denmark.”

From time to time, at no trigger anyone can figure out, Elric will stop talking for a day or two and communicate exclusively in pantomime. It’s hard to ignore a stinky 72 year old man in worn-out wizard’s robes mirroring your every move, and interesting to see how people react to him. (Maxlore frequently gains insight into his work force by watching reactions to Mad Mike.)
